Family sessions in the fall have a special place in my heart. I’ve been thinking a lot about the importance of family photography. I recently went to a conference and in one of the keynotes, Katelyn James (my photography idol! lol) said that we only have 216 months with children before they turn 18. And while I don’t have children, it is a good reminder that time is fleeting and it is SO important to capture memories of our families and children as much as we can because we can’t get these moments back and photographs are what we have to look back on these beautiful times in our lives. So I was SO excited when I got to photograph Meaghan, Ryan and their baby boy, Bennett a couple of weeks ago. Meaghan reached out to me and wanted to get some updated photos of their family, and when I mentioned location she said they were new to the area and would love for me to choose a location for them. Madison County Lake is near my parent’s farm and so I thought I would check it out for their session! I found this hidden spot that I had never noticed even thoughI had gone there multiple times growing up and it was the PERFECT location. I had so much fun with this sweet little family. Brandon and I loved getting to know Meaghan and Ryan, and Bennett was LITERALLY the cutest little thing. He had so much fun and we enjoyed him so much! He is at SUCH a fun age and was so happy and content the whole session! I am so excited to share some of my favorites from their session with you!
